Serving
Everyone has a part to play in church life. Serving is our opportunity to make a contribution through our gifts, talents and time.

Ways
to serve
There are so many ways you can get involved with serving at DCC. Each of the teams vary in their commitment levels, so the best thing is to email us about what you're interested in and we can get you involved somewhere.

Our Teams
Hospitality
& Events

Whether it’s a Sunday morning or a special event, anyone passionate about catering, planning or hospitality will really enjoy serving in these teams. Speak to Mags Sexton or Emma Handscomb for more information.
Production
& Worship

If you’re a bit techy, get involved with our production team who set up the audio and visual equipment for Sundays. The worship band are also on the look-out for talented musicians. Ian Travers would love a chat if you’re interested in joining any of these teams.
Social
Action

Passionate about helping the poor and vulnerable? We’re involved in running Street Pastors, Foodbank and the Dartford Winter Shelter with other churches in Dartford. For more info, please speak to Al Gregory.
Prayer &
Discipleship

Whether it’s our Sunday morning prayer team or helping to run our Nights of Prayer, there are many ways to get involved. We also run formal and informal discipleship across the church. If you’d like more info, please chat to Quinton Handscomb.
Mission

The church exists for mission. If you love to share your faith and reach the nations for God, speak to Gareth Roberts to see what serving opportunities there are.
Kids &
Youth

We have so much happening for kids of all ages. If you fancy helping with Explorers (0-4s) or Treasure Hunters (5-10s) on Sundays, Alys Hale will be able to tell you more. We also run vibrant youth work on Sundays and mid-week. Colin Lavery can provide more details about serving opportunities. Finally, we also run a Kids Klub every Wednesday on the Fleet Estate. Colin Lavery can help you understand more.
Creative

A new addition at DCC! This team is all about releasing creativity across the church whether it’s writing, art, dance or drama. If you’re interested to know more, Emma Handscomb would love to hear from you.
Connect
Groups

From April 2019, we’ll have a variety of Connect Groups starting across the church. These groups will all have slightly different focus areas, whether mission, growing friendships, Bible study or discipleship. If you think you could facilitate a group for a 10-week term, we’d love to chat. Please let Ian Travers or Quinton Handscomb know.
