DCC is a diverse church, gathering people of all ages, from all phases of life and backgrounds. We love to make our Sunday services full of life that reflects this diversity.

When you walk in, you’ll be greeted by a friendly volunteer from our Welcome Team. If you have family, they’ll tell you more about the kids and youth work that day. You can then gather in our main room for a time of joyful worship. This is normally followed by a relevant talk that lasts around 35 minutes. You can expect the talk to be inspiring, biblical and applicable to all of our lives. We then give an opportunity for people to respond to what they’ve heard.

We want everyone to feel welcome and comfortable, so everyone is invited to stay at the end of the meeting for some refreshments.

Our morning services launch with a time of celebration and passionate worship. This normally lasts for around 35 minutes and will include a mixture of front-led worship and contributions from DCC members. All the words are on the screen so if want to, you can sing along. No pressure though, just relax and do things at your own pace.

After worship we’ll typically share news, stories and information about upcoming events. We’ll also express our thanks to God through our offering. Naturally, you don’t have to give. If you’re a first time guest, we encourage you to simply let the basket pass you by.

We have safe and fun environments for kids of all ages during our morning meeting. Everyone serving across our children’s and youth work are fully DBS checked and trained in safeguarding.

It’s great to have the children with us to enjoy the start of our worship time, so they normally go out to their kids groups around 10:20am.

If you have children between 0-4 years, then Explorers provides a playful and relaxing space. You’re very welcome to drop your children off with our friendly team or feel free to stay while your children familiarise themselves with their new surroundings. We know this can be a tricky time!

If your children are 5-10 years, they can attend Treasure Hunters. It’s a fun, interactive kids group where you expect them to journey with God through games, craft and biblical teaching.

We also run youth work for 11-18’s on the majority of Sundays. This will always be announced during the service. Our Youth team take them out during the main service so they can engage in relevant discussions and biblical teaching. We also do a Thursday night Connect Group for Youth that meets during term times.

The building we meet in on Sunday mornings caters for the majority of needs. We have allocated spaces outside the main entrance for disabled badge holders. Ramps and wide doorways provide easy access for wheelchairs and pushchairs. Disabled toilets are also provided at the venue.

Nearly all church activities happen on the ground floor, but a lift is available if access to the first floor is required.

At our main service we offer priority seating for anyone requiring easy access. Chairs with arm rests can also be provided. At this point, we’re afraid we can’t offer a sign language or T-loop service for those hard of hearing.
