But all too often this is coupled with treading on others, getting rich at the expense of the poor. James guides us to godly wisdom and teaches how it is the opposite of selfish ambition.

James knew conflict was a disease that could cause great damage. Q looks at its symptoms, the underlying illness and its cure - humility.

Facing hard times

We all face struggles and hard times in our lives, and we battle for the meaning and reason for them. In James' letter, he reveals that we can face these times with courage, knowing that God, not only blesses us in the midst of them, but also uses them for his glory.

The True Vine

How can we have a fruitful life? Jesus answers, 'I am the true vine.' That's a very cryptic answer! In this season of lockdown, this picture is incredibly timely as we understand Jesus as the vinedresser, pruning the vine to ensure an abundance of fruit in the future.

The Way, the Truth and the Life

Where will I go when I die? This is a fundamental question of all humanity with many answers and claims. In preaching the gospel - the good news - Jesus reveals the truth about life after death, and that we experience all the goodness God has for us, if only we would put our trust in Him.

Light of the world

The world is full of competing claims to know the truth, and that everyone else is just repeating #fakenews. But Jesus is the light that reveals the absolute truth, not just about himself, but about the world, and the creator God. Knowing this truth brings us peace, comfort and joy.

Where do you go for answers? What questions do you have? When Jesus stepped on the earth, he called people to follow him, saying 'I am the answer'. He then both taught how he was the answer we're all looking for, and demonstrated through his life.
